Proclamation is a collaboration between Irish choreographer John Scott and filmmaker Jason Akira Somma. Scott, whose Lear was recently presented at New York Live Arts, has worked extensively with refugees and torture survivors in Dublin, creating Fall and Recover. Somma’s collaborators range from 91 year old contemporary dancer Frances Wessels to Brooklyn street dancers - Flex to Jiri Kylian. ‘Proclamation,’ supported by the Arts Council and Culture Ireland as part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme, is being shown at Irish Arts Center, New York, Meetinghouse Square, Dublin, Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris, London Irish Centre, London and at the EU Committee of the Regions, Brussels. http://www.irishmoderndancetheatre.com/IMDT/Home.html

John Scott - Irish Modern Dance Theatre, based in Dublin, Ireland, is a physically/culturally diverse ensemble ranging from Virtuosic Cunningham dancers to African Torture survivors.
