Bluesman Seasick Steve, born in Oakland, CA, led an itinerant life, hoboing and basing himself at various times in Olympia, WA, and Norway. The first release by Seasick Steve & the Level Devils, Cheap, came out in 2004, long after the leader had begun playing professionally.
