BAMbill - 2004 Spring Season - Nederlands Dans Theater - Who's Who Africa Guzman of Madrid, Spain, trained from 1975 to 1987 at the Escuela de Ballet y Danza Espanola Africa Guzman and the Taller de Danza del Ballet Nacional de Espana from 1982 to 1987. Guzman started her professional dance career with the Ballet Lírico Nacional (currently called Compania Nacional de Danza) under the artistic direction of Maya Plisetskaya in 1988, performing more classical repertoire as a first dancer.
